Privacy Policy
This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have over your data. Last updated 27 June 2026.
The short version
We collect the minimum we need to run Taploon: your account details, your billing status, the destinations you connect, and the articles we generate for you. We never sell your data, and the content we produce belongs to you.
What we collect
- Account information: your name and email address when you sign up.
- Billing information: handled by our payment processor (Dodo Payments). We store your plan, credit balance, and payment status, not your card number.
- Destinations: the site URL and the ingest endpoint URL you connect. Your delivery API key is stored only as a hash, never in plain text.
- Content: the keywords, outlines, and articles generated in your workspace.
- Usage data: basic logs and analytics needed to operate and secure the service.
What we do not collect
- We do not collect your website visitors’ personal data. Articles we deliver contain content and metadata only, no end-user information.
- We do not read or store anything in your database beyond what is needed to deliver an article.
- We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
How we use your data
- To generate, review, and deliver articles to your connected sites.
- To bill you accurately and manage your credit balance.
- To provide support and keep the service secure and reliable.
- To send essential service messages (receipts, security notices, account changes).
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted providers to run Taploon: Supabase (database and authentication), Anthropic (article generation), Dodo Payments (billing), and Vercel (hosting). Each receives only the data required to do its job. We do not share your data for advertising.
Data ownership and retention
You own every article we create for you. Because delivery writes content into your own database on your own domain, your published content stays with you even if you cancel. We retain your account and workspace data for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Your rights
- Access the data we hold about you.
- Correct or update your account information.
- Export or delete your workspace data.
- Close your account and request deletion.
